Sunday

I just had to post the first picture, and the second one happened in somewhat randomly. Check out Emily upon her return from her daily morning walk with Mimi. They let us sleep in while they cruise the neighborhood and the local park. I opened my eyes at 9 am and this is what I saw....hilarious!!!

Emily brushing her teeth all by herself, like a big girl.

Emily's 2nd Birthday!

Emily turned 2 today, and we celebrated quietly at home. Well, "quietly" would not be the right word, as it was non-stop go-go-go, run, jump, scream, play, sing - the WHOLE time! Such is life with toddlers, I gather.....but, everyone had a great time and enjoyed the day!

Emily's amazing cake!! Steve's co-worker Traci does these as a hobby. We asked her to make a Mickey Mouse (as that's Emily's favorite cartoon character right now) - slash Independence Day cake, and she said, "ok!" and showed up this morning with THIS. We were speechless. Emily was beyond excited. And it was yummy, too! Vanilla and Chocolate.

Miss Independent.

My Mom with Emily.

Our little family :)

And the whole fam, minus Daddy who is taking the picture.

Yum!

She is a neat freak like her Daddy, and did not appreciate her hands getting dirty while eating cake. She kept saying, "wash them, I need to wash them!"

(We did, eventually.)

New purse!

Drinking imaginary tea.

Banana, anyone?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET GIRL!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Travis's Birthday!

Today, our neighbor Travis turned 2 and we celebrated his birthday at Chuck E Cheese. Everybody had SO much fun! We were very apprehensive about going, as Emily is always unsure and unexcited about new places, new people, and new things, but she had a blast, was not shy at all, and enjoyed every second!!

Tomorrow, Emily turns 2! Time is flying by like crazy.....

Here are a few pics from Travis's celebration.

Emily received an early birthday present from Sweden, from my friend Helen and her family - her favorite part of the gift was a doll in a traditional Swedish costume.
