Hannah Grace is on her way!!

Just a quick post to let everyone know that our sweet niece Allison is in labor in Taipei, Taiwan even as I am writing this post!! She was up all night with contractions, and is now on the way to the hospital with her husband Collin and their friends that will help translate and provide the moral support Allie needs. So, the newest addition to our family, Miss Hannah Grace Seitz, is on her way! We are so excited.  

Walking & Playing

This past week, Emily and I did a lot of walking in the evenings. The weather was just right.

We tried out the kiddie swing on the community playground. Emily LOVED it.

Home...playing in the gym.  She still loves her gym.

Emily is really good at using the remote control - any kind. She can turn the TV on and off....same goes for lights (we have a remote control light in the living room). Here's one of her turning her mobile on and off.

This is a little out of focus (she moves so much it's been getting harder and harder trying to get pictures of her that are not blurry) but....I think it's a nice close up of her face :)

Off to Sam's We Go

So now that Emily is crawling all over, we decided to get her one of those rubbery "carpets" for her room with interlocking squares, almost the same kind you see in doctors' offices sometimes....so off to Sam's we went!  We found it, but didn't like it as much as a sweet and very girly rug with cute numbers, butterflies, and bugs....so that's what we ended up buying!

We are here!!  Sitting in the shopping cart was a new experience for Emily and she did well.

And finally home, with the new "toy" - the rug is cute, goes well in her room (these shots are in the living room, though) & hopefully, we'll learn our numbers that way too.

Easter pictures again?

Well....it seems I forgot to upload the pictures from the actual Easter day!! Here goes!

Emily loved her angel!  It's also a bell and makes a noise so you know she could not resist playing with it.

Another gift was a book "Pat the Bunny" about these two little kids Judy and Paul, and you are supposed to repeat everything they are doing in the book.  Emily adored the book too!!  We've been reading it every night since Easter.

Easter, Bluebonnets, Etc.

Once again, I've been delinquent with my blog postings, and I apologize...things get busy with an active 9 month old and a full time job!!

First, several things that deserve an honorable mention:

1. Happy First Birthday to our friend Miss Elizabeth Miller, who turned 1 on April 11, 2009!!  Hard to believe Ellie is such a big girl now!!  Can't wait for her & Emily to get to know each other and start playing together.

2. Happy First Wedding Anniversary to our wonderful friends Helen and Sebastian, who are currently living in Sweden, they celebrated their special day on April 12th.

Well...we had a fun and busy Easter weekend.  Friday night Emily discovered a new Crate & Barrel magazine and she did not rest until she tore it to shreds:

Emily's Granmom and Grandad came to celebrate Easter with us:

And gave Emily her first ever Easter card!!  (Of course, she had to taste it....before I knew it, a corner was chewed off...I rescued the card just in time!)

We decided to take Emily to get her first bluebonnet pictures taken also, since the weather was so nice.....she had a blast!!!!

Finger Foods :)

Emily is getting very good at feeding herself finger foods. The other day, she was eating little Gerber puffs, and then Steve took the container and rolled it on the table, and she laughed and laughed and laughed!! I had to capture that on video!!

9 Months Old

Baby girl turned 9 months old on April 4th!! She continues to grow and explore, says "momma", loves to stand and pull herself up (and even attempts to walk!), laughs and giggles with Daddy all the time, is becoming more friendly and coming out of her shell a little bit - yay!  Nothing particularly exciting going on around our house, but here's a pic of Emily playing on her 9 month birthday. Can't believe she'll be a toddler in just a couple of months!
