Irina

My Russian friend Irina, who lives in Dallas, came to visit us a few weeks ago - she just sent me a couple of pictures she took that day of us and Emily:

Peter Piper Pizza

Somehow this uploaded super blurry....not sure why....but anyway - here is Miss Emily on a carousel at Peter Piper Pizza!  Monique, our babysitter, and the kids went there today for lunch. On the carousel with her are Luis, Monique's 2-year-old son, and Madison, Monique's 2 year old niece.

FUN!!  :)

Family

Steve's brother Stan and his family are in town this weekend - everyone was here yesterday for Merichelle and Bryan's wedding which was a success (and from what I've seen of the raw footage on Steve's computer, just beautiful too!!)  Anyway, today we went over to Steve's parents house to spend some time with our wonderful family! Emily had a great time with everyone.

Granmom and Emily playing with wooden blocks:

Uncle Stan joined in:

This doesn't quite show the tender moment Uncle Stan and Emily shared.  They were so sweet!!

Of course, Emily could not get enough of Granmom's beautiful back yard:

With aunt Rebecca:

And just being silly - under the table:

Climbing stairs...we don't have any at our house, so this fascinated Emily to no end.

Ummm....cheesecake and strawberries!!  Too bad she couldn't have either....all in due time though.

We had a wonderful time!!  Mom, thank you for the wonderful lunch and all the fun!!

Recent Pictures

Just a few recent pictures of our almost 11-month old!!

Relaxing in the back yard:

Under the high chair!

Emily has an alternative way of getting into her gym - she falls in there and pulls her legs in...so right at first you just see her bum, and then she climbs in there.

Emily loves books!

As well as this alphabet toy:

I just like these two in the crib - one under the mobile, and the other with a serious face.

Enjoying the sun.

Daddy bought Emily her own Adirondike chair and we tried it out this week.

The Sun Is Back!!

We were so happy the sun finally came out and it felt like we were living in Texas again, that we made a spur of the moment decision to go to the Arboretum and spend our late morning/early afternoon in there. Steve, Emily, and I all had a great time.

Looking at the fish in the pond:

Texas flag!

They had this tepee and you could go inside:

And this wagon was so cute:

As always, lots of pretty flowers:

This is the entrance to the Texas pioneer exhibit:

View of the lake:

And more flowers:

Gingerbread house!

It may not look like it, but we are dancing in this picture - they had live music!!

Up in the sky!!

Rainy Day

It's been raining all day, and Steve is working (yes, on a Saturday)...Emily and I decided we needed to get out of the house for an hour or two, but the options are limited when the weather is bad - so we hit the Shops at Willow Bend and did some window shopping.  Here's a pic of Emily trying on sunglasses at Janie & Jack, and then sitting at Starbucks while Mommy was waiting for her coffee.

Garden Bench

We saw this garden bench at World Market over the weekend, and today, while I was at work, Steve went and got it! It looks so good in our back yard, and now we have an extra comfy place to sit!!

Emily loved it!
