4-Month Checkup
Emily went to the doctor today for her 4 month check up. She is doing great. She is 26 inches tall (66 sm) which is in the 95th percentile (small surprise there, just look at how tall her Mom is :) and weighs 15 lbs 5 oz (7 kg), which is in the 75 percentile she has been in since she was born. The doctor checked all her reflexes, her eyes, ears, and throat, listened to her heart and lungs, and everything checks out fine. We are free to start feeding rice cereal if we want to, but I think we'll wait for another week or so for that. At 5 months, we can start introducing fruits and veggies if we want to, but it's also ok to wait on all that until 6 months. Emily got her 2 shots and a vaccine by mouth, so we'll see how she does the rest of the day. Mommy took a day off just in case, but hopefully, Emily will do fine and not need much "baby-ing" :) And if she does, that's ok too! :)

Mimi's Birthday
Today was my Mom's birthday. We had a wonderful time celebrating at home, and Emily did great! She enjoyed looking in on the festivities, especially the sushi (like..."what is that, Mommy?") and the candle on Mimi's birthday cake :)
Ok....let's get this party started!

And, un-related to the birthday, here are a couple of recent pics of Emily that I think are especially cute.....

Winnie the Pooh, German Version
Emily and Mimi at the door, getting ready to go on their daily morning walk - and Emily is proudly sporting her German Winnie the Pooh outfit that her aunt Natasha, my best friend and "sister", sent as one of our baby shower presents. Emily is finally big enough for it, and it's finally cool enough!!

Random Pictures
In no particular order and for no particular reason....
I am not sure why she looks so scared, might be the camera flash, but this is Emmie immediately after her morning walk with Mimi:
Lunch - and she is holding her own bottle, too!
Let me get this outfit figured out!
I love this outfit on her - thank you, Olga and Nelly!! (My Russian friends from Austin)
Both Granmom and Mimi commented on how much they loved the fact that Emily's slippers are standing under her bed, as if she is getting ready to put them on and run around the house - so I had to take a picture!
She is getting more and more active with her gym toys - here she is grabbing a butterfly.

Emily Rolls Over
Yesterday October 5th, Emily rolled over! She loved it so much she did it probably 10 times in a row after the first time. I had to capture that on video - I did not have the video camera close by, so I just used my digital camera.....so pardon the quality.....
